A question concerning the timing of M2 Cauldron to M3 Cauldr

We anticipate the release of M2 shortly. What that will
mean is that the present Cauldron Repo will be renamed
or copied to /distrib/2. At some point in time both
/distrib/2 and distrib/cauldron will be the same.
Be that maybe only for a day. At some point 2 and
cauldron will start moving again, separately. My
question is about how long after 2 is released will
cauldron start moving again. What happened last year
with 1?
