As i mentioned at topic i have found these bugs in Mageia-2-beta3-LiveCD-KDE4 (64 bit) i haven't tried other versions. Tested on virtualbox 4.1.12 .

First bug is very little and esthetic. Here is a screenshot

Second bug is at the last stage of installation. Mageia counldn't get some of software repository list. So when you have a ready system to use there is no update and a lot of software is missing to install. And i coudn't add them manually from "configure media source for install and update" .

Please report bugs (like the first one) at bugzilla: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly
The second one depends on the mirror you're using, on its reliability and conectivity. Normally you should wait until after
the installation, and the select a specific mirror which is known to be working well. This also has the advantage that you can use
the system earlier, and do updates in the background while you can already start working.

I believe this one is also a bug as I ran into it using the all.img and a local mirror. I'll do another installation later today using an ftp mirror to confirm before creating a bug report.

BTW: Cauldron doesn't do any updates during the installation as the update repositories are empty but it's nice to have your repositories all setup during the installation.

The doktor is correct.
Doing an ftp install I had no problems with media so it's a mirror issue.
