I tried the live CD of beta three, the graphic at the beginning looked great but it never could boot up and run live. it did say something about plymouth couldn't boot. anyway I'll wait until the final comes out. maybe it was a bad burn, or some bugs need to be fixed, keep working on it.

Landborn,
I checked the link and just wanted to make a comment that even that the above mentioned bug talks about NVIDIA I got exactly the same situation with Live CD:s KDE 64bit and Live CD KDE 32bit with an ATI RADEON 3300 integrated card. The discussion around the bug was general on GPU drivers, so hopefully the solution will fix all cases.
Fredrik
PS: BTW I got a perfectly working system by just replying cancel to the reboot request.

Same problem. Beta3 live cd doesn't boot, even when I choose cancel the reboot request.
I've been running a cauldren install for months and it's supposedly up-to-date, but I've never been able to use any other driver but vesa withg my Radeon 4760 card, and kde doesn't respect my 1920x1080 resolution. Tried all the stuff on the forum/errata posts, but nothing works for me. With B3 I was looking foward to a fresh install to clean out the problems I was having.
Maybe I'm still just missing something, but I'm not a newbie. I've been a longtime Mandrake/Mandriva user, as well as my main distro for 10 years has been Gentoo "testing," so I've tried every xorg trick possible, different firmware and driver versions, new manually compiled custom kernels, etc.
I've really liked the Mageia fork from Mandriva when it went off the rails, however this ongoing problem with ATI cards and now the B3 live cd not booting for some users is really disappointing. I'm an experienced Linux user so I can work around stuff like this, but IMO releasing a B3 that won't boot and/or still has basic problems with apparently most ATI cards is going to make most people immediately wonder if Mageia is for them.
Hopefully, these issues will be addressed soon, and I hope they are, because Mageia has great potential. I fondly recall when Mandrake was by far the best Linux distro around, and after the problems with Mandriva I was hoping Mageia would continue in that tradition.

Just one thing: this is a beta release, that means it's for testing purposes. So if you have problems with it, please go to bugzilla and search for the bug, if it's already there you can comment on it, if not, just file a new one.
Your entries here won't help very much since they will get lost and will most likely not be read by the developers. The devs have only 24 hours a day and a normal job as well, and most just don't have the time, to read the mailing lists, read their bug reports, work on the bugs and read the forums.
And the forums are the one platform with the most irrelevant topics for devs, so when having to choose, what not to read...
