When using the console (konsole) under kde (mageia beta 2), I always observed a freeze of the graphical interface at each attempt to resize the console. Graphic card Nvidia (Geforce210) using nvidia driver.

is this a bug ?

If you do not play games under Mageia, I recommands you not to use the "proprietary" nvidia driver for your card, and use nouveau. I use it and my computer is faster than with nvidia driver. And there is no konsole bug !

My experience with this bug shows that it only occurs when I activate the desktop effects. When I leave them untouched the system runs fine with the proprietary driver - nouveau is slower with videos and I just dived into the video editing djungle...
