Tried again. Got disc errors on sd0, rewriting the disk, and will try again. I assume it identifies the dvdwriter as sd0, and isn't checking my hard drives.

I did get to screens with ctl alt f1 and f2 this time though, last time not. It says it can't find tty3,2 and 4, but responds to keyboard imput, it won't reboot with ctl alt delete, can't find, and this is memory, /proc (?) dont trust this one. I will be back after rewriting the disk and using k3b write test after burn this time. mdsum was correct on the iso.

I didn't have any trouble installing on an HP AMD64 with 512mb of ram using the Dual Arch cd. I installed the Gnome version.

Just a thought.
