Really annoying network error

The is something really funky going on with my install now. I've given up trying to get kmail to work, it's just too unstable.
However, akonadi is obviously still running in the backuround because after about half an hour to an hour of work I suddenly get a flood of
Server Authentication - mailserver of type IMAP E-Mail Server authenticity check errors.
No matter how many times I tell the stupid thing to accept the certificate (either forever or for the session) it keeps cycling these smessages.
At the same time (and I have no idea how there connected) I get a bug report pop up
I have submitted a bug report on the net_app one.
Peter.
However, akonadi is obviously still running in the backuround because after about half an hour to an hour of work I suddenly get a flood of
Server Authentication - mailserver of type IMAP E-Mail Server authenticity check errors.
The server failed the authenticity check (server.mydomain).
The certificate does not apply to the given host
The certificate is not signed by any trusted certificate authority
The certificate has expired

At the same time (and I have no idea how there connected) I get a bug report pop up
The "net_applet" program has crashed with the following error
Undefined subroutine &main:: called at /usr/lib/libDrakX/dbus_object.pm line 61.
Perl's trace:
standalone::bug_handler() called from /usr/bin/net_applet:291

To submit a bug report, click on the report button.
This will open a web browser window on Bugzilla where you'll find a form to fill in. The information displayed above will be transferred to that server
It would be very useful to attach to your report the output of the following command: 'lspcidrake -v'.
I have submitted a bug report on the net_app one.
Peter.
