Tips for FAN regulation on Acer Aspire One aoa 110ab (and severals others Acer, and severals PackardBell, too) with acerhdf fan control module :

Default behaviour of Fan Control Module resume as : turn everytime and speed-up when hot. Not clean, you could use this option replacing defaut behaviour :
Code: Select all
# rmmod acerhdf
# modprobe acerhdf verbose=0 fanon=60000 fanoff=55000 interval=10 kernelmode=1
Behaviour, now, is : less than 55°C, fan stop, oufffff. More than 60°C fan start. (and keep speeding-up when hotest)

Smile, enjoy the silence :)

ps : you could use the modprobe files into etc to have this configuration at boot time.
ps2 : You could see this entry information point at /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp and correct config at trip_point_0_temp
