Hello,
I installed M2A3 on a Dell Latitude D630, installation OK, reboot Ok.
The configuration failed for the wifi and the printer.
I updated (276 packages) and after it reboot a first time but it was the last time. The screen stay black without cursor and there is no console available. The black screen appears just before the connection screen.

Basically the same thing here. I have a Brother printer, which is asking for trouble, but it can usually be made to work as a network printer. As with Lebarhon, after the big update (about the same number of packages) it froze. I am not sure if it froze the same way; I think that I had a desktop, but it was frozen. I have taken Alpha off and will try again with Beta 1.

But after updating PCLinuxOS, the X server wouldn't configure and that is a release; this is only an alpha. I am prepared to put Alpha back and file a bug report, with a bit of guidance on what to include. "It doesn't work" isn't very helpful.

I noticed that as well ..I installed it from the x64 dvd, default KDE desktop. After updating nothing but a blackscreen upon reboot.(In virtualbox)
Rather than fight with cli I simply opted to re-install..In my case it was simply a matter of installing kernel-desktop-devel-latest before allowing it to update.
I've seen this issue many times before both with Mageia and Mandriva..It's really rather annoying too.. I mean why bother to include kernel-desktop-latest and not the former
and break a working desktop with the first update? Either include kernel-desktop-devel-latest as part of the install or do not include kernel-desktop-latest!
