KDE slow to act

Postby pmithrandir » Jan 7th, '12, 17:46

Hi,

Since 2 or 3 days, the KDe update I think, the KDE is pretty slow to react when I click.

Example, when I click to change my current desktop, it need 1-3 second to show it.

You click
You wait 2 seconds
The result shows.

Have you the same issue recently ?

My CPU is normal, desktop effect are disabled(was really slow with them on the new KDE)

Graphics card ? Driver ?
Maybe a bugreport should also be a good idea

Does this also happen with a freshly created user?

My graphic card is an intel GMA 4500HD, latest intel driver.

I have to check with a brand new user...

To test with a new user I had to disconnect my user connected since 4 or 5 days... and now it works again on both(the new and my previous user...) maybe something changed in KDE.

Will come back here if it comes back.

You should never forget to logout and back in after KDE updates, to uses the updated KDE parts.
