[SOLVED] Boot problem from USB drive

Postby dotmil » Dec 31st, '11, 21:03

Hey all, I've noticed that all the kernels released for Cauldron since the A2 release have had this problem. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen it; I didn't see it in a search.

Basically boot fails and drops to dracut shell with:

dracut warning: No root device "block: /dev/disk/by-uuid/#UUID here" found

I've tried running dracut -f with the good kernel, even after the dracut update I got today but still nothing. This only happens on my desktop that runs from external USB drive too, my other desktop and laptop are unaffected by this. Any ideas before I bug report it?

FWIW, The last round of updates seems to have solved this. So I consider this solved.
