switch to lightdm from terminal

hello everyone

how can i switch to lightdm from any dm manager like KDM or GDM or elsa (( enlightenment dm manager )) - i wish you import it from thier svn - ..... FROM TERMINAL

IF....... mcc just like now hasnt an option for activating lightdm instead those other

Is this a package request for lightdm? Because currently we don't have lightdm, only xdm.

And i don't understand the "i wish you import it from thier svn - ..... FROM TERMINAL" what do you mean by the terminal part?
As it's currently not packaged, you can not install it nor switch to it, be it via MCC or via terminal ...

look at this mirror http://mageia.c3sl.ufpr.br/distrib/cauldron/i586/media/core/release/ you will find (( lightdm )) if you installed it ....... drakedm will not see it and put it with the all other DMs' like KDM / GDM / XDM

Add a file to describe the new display manager in /etc/X11/dm.d. The filename must end in .conf and begin with 2 digits.

This 2 digits number will be used to choose a dm when no DISPLAYMANAGER or DESKTOP variable has been defined in /etc/sysconfig/desktop. The smaller number has the highest priority. You may wish that prefdm tries for your new dm before xdm (always installed with X.org), then the number has to be less than 30.

urpmf /etc/X11/dm.d/ can be used to check currently used filenames and numbers.

Here is /etc/X11/dm.d/10kdm.conf for example:

but the really problem here is

there is no any directory in X11 folder called dm.d

there is no any directory in X11 folder called dm.d

That should be /usr/share/X11/dm.d nowadays. Currently importing the wiki page from Mandriva wiki and updating it in the process.
