[SOLVED] Mageia Control Center after update from Mageia 9

Today I upgrade a Dell Vostro 1700 (Core 2 Duo) from Mageia 9 to Cauldron. While things appear to be working well after the upgrade, I have one major issue. When I open the Mageia Control Center, the entire right panel is blank no matter which option I select, i.e. "Software Management" gives blank screen, "Hardware" gives blank screen, etc. Not sure what happened as I didn't receive any errors during the upgrade. I tried removing 'drakconf' and 'drakconf-icons' and re-installing but that didn't work. Any assistance is very much appreciated!

Thanks,
Alben

See here for workarounds: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Errata#Mageia_tools

Here is the bug report: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32185

Should apply to Cauldron, as well.

Okay. I'll read through all of that and see if I can find a solution. Everything worked fine in Mageia 9. Clicking where the icons are supposed to be worked on a couple of items (in Cauldron) but then it froze the computer and I had to reboot. Hopefully, someone can find a solution and roll out a patch. From what I gather, it may be related to webkit? I don't know if I should submit another bug report for Cauldron. The MCC works fine on all of the other computers I've upgraded (four other laptops comprised of two chromebooks, an old gen 3 i5 HP, and a very old Gateway circa '06 or '07 made for XP). Please let me know if that will be helpful for the upcoming Mageia 10.

P.S. I really want this to work. I'm using Cinnamon Desktop on all of these systems and I'm loving Mageia. Trying to fully migrate from Mint, Fedora, and Manjaro.

Thanks,
Alben

That bug seems to have been fixed back in April.

It may well be back. I literally upgraded from Mageia 9 to Cauldron today and the bug appeared. Since Cauldron doesn't use the update repositories, how would I apply the patch that fixed the bug?

I have 2 installs of cauldron and 3 installs of mga9. I only ran into that problem with one of them. Don't recall which one it was but I fixed it by changing the theme/colors. Changed it to a dark theme.

Cauldron packages are updated but the updates go into the release repos. Cauldron is rolling.

Maybe you should open a bug on Cauldron. One of the bug reports mentioned cauldron in passing but most of the discussion was about mga9.

Here's a thread on the ml that is the same as your situation. mga9 updated to cauldron.

New drakconf and drakconf-icons package showed up in Cauldron today that are supposed to fix the problem. Have you updated cauldron?

I appreciate all of your replies. I did mark it solved. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up until you click in the thread.
