Latest Docker Version on Mageia 9 beta2

Hello everyone,

I was using Mageia 7 and 8 for a while and then distro hopped around a lot. But I was never as satisfied with the distros as when I were using Mageia. And now with Mageia 9 on the horizon I want to jump back into Mageia. I am currently setting up my Mageia 9 beta2 system and I found out that the Repositories still ship Docker
Code: Select all
20.10.22
. Is there a way to get the latest Docker running? My scripts all use the latest
Code: Select all
docker compose
command which is not available in the 20.10.22 version of Docker.

Or, if there is no latest version of docker, how can I get it to run on Mageia? Can I just use the Fedora RPM (I imagine that this is not possible by the amount of dependencies docker uses)? Did someone already build a walkthrough that I am not able to find?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!
