Is there a way to check for Wayland for testing without logging out?

Wayland isnt available again, and logging out to find I cant log in except to X is an unnecessary step.

Running beta 9, Testing admiring how complete Wayland is, but lost it, about a week ago.

Ta.

You can switch to another tty with ALT+CTRL+F<1..12>, login as user and start another graphical session with wayland.

If you use LightDM, note it do not list the Plasma Wayland option, Bug 31789

Wayland is back.

I think upgrades removed "plasma-workspace-wayland" for incompatability with another Wayland rpm, and there is no reinstall method, except the one I used, check for every file needed for Wayland, re-install them one at a time.

It sounds to me that plasma-workspace-wayland or another package should bring with it all dependencies needed for Plasma Wayland, or else there is a bug to be raised.

Yes, thats what I said, I installed what had been removed.

I think this points to a problem that could be solved. This is the second time an upgrade has removed its functionality without mentioning so. Just Wayland.

I am unsure as to what was changed, and why.

There's no need to fully quote the post directly before your post, that's not what the quote button is intended for. Just use the reply button, thanks in advance.

However, if you're replying to something that is 2 or 3 posts before your reply feel free to quote.
