[SOLVED] Symbols on my KDE desktop

I am using Mageia 9 beta 1 with all the updates (except Samba) I am using the Oxygen theme.

I created a folder on my Desktop called "Programs." Putting the mouse cursor on this folder shows a + sign in a circle and an up arrow in another small circle underneath it. They appear just to the left of the folder. Clicking the small "up arrow" shows what's in the folder. The other circle doesn't really appear to do much of anything. I seem to recall that just clicking on the folder itself would just open it. It doesn't do that anymore.

I'm just wondering what the purpose of those two circles is.

Thank you.

I looked under "default applications" in KDE Settings and found that my default file manager was "journalctl." I don't know how that happened. Switching it to "Dolphin" solved the problem

Isn't this more or less related to or partly the same question as in your other thread? viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14899#p87445
