bootsplash editor in kde system settings missing?

Postby waferhead » Jan 1st, '23, 23:10

Current cauldron, finding no bootsplash selector options in kde settings or drakconf anymore.
Tried search and bugzilla to no joy.

Bug or something got dropped in upgrade?

What bootsplash are you referring to, a plymouth theme selector ?
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

@waferhead:
It's not that hard to find in systemsettings5 as it has a powerful searchfunction from the beginning...

In old Plasma versions (like the one in Mageia 8) it was placed under:
systemsettings -> Startup and Shutdown -> Splash screen

In modern Plasma versions (like the one shipped with Mageia 9/cauldron) it is placed under:
systemsettings -> Appearance -> Splash screen
