Mageia 8 Beta: root & user passwds setup issue

After install Mageia 8 beta , within the 1st setup, it requires to create a root password, and also asks for it's confirmation . At the same page, username and password are required to be created. The problem with that is after both passwords (root & user's) are filled, it always reports that password do not match, although root password confirmation had been written without any typos. Doesn't matter if root and user passwords are the same or the different ones. The only way to apply root's password is to leave user's password blank.

You mention the need to enter the root password twice, but not the need to enter the user password twice. Did you do that? Depending on your screen resolution, you may need to scroll down to see the rest of the dialogue.

If that's not the problem, which ISO did you use?

The installer and first-time setup use the default GTK3 theme, which shrinks the width of the scroll bar when the mouse isn't over it, so it's easy to miss. I understand the GTK developers' motivation for doing that, but it does have this downside.
