[Resolved]Lenovo Think Book M7.1 upgraded to M8

Originally I installed 7.1 KDE PLASMA and I kept getting a black screen like the desktop was a blackboard because sometimes the tool bar appeared, I thought it was a driver issue, it isn't so I'll install M7.1 again. This time I did a clean install and XFCE.

What about the "upgraded to M8" in the title of your post ?

Well, actually I didn't have much luck. In the end I just installed using the same partitions user name and password so I use my data I'll try the beta or RC when they arrive. M8 Alpha still needs work I get a blank screen. So I've reverted back to 7.1
It's the 16th July my Birthday I'm 60 today. Mageia M8 Alpha s now on my Thinkbook, M8 does include a wireless driver for this machine so I might stick with it and I'm using XFTC
