Tried to install and configure wifi during instalation but
Unable to find network interface for selected device (using iwlwifi driver)
. selected interface was Intel 8265 / 8275. I would suggest to remove option to connect to internet during instalation because as far as I remember I didn't succeed ever. After instalation setup of wifi was successful.

The long-standing Mageia policy is that on the classical installer ISOs, the installer itself is entirely free software. Most wi-fi devices need non-free firmware, which is why they don't work in the installer.

The option to connect to the network during the install generally works if you have a wired connection.

sadly, I am not one of them ;)
