Will Mag7 get KDE Plasma 5.16?
Posted: Jun 15th, '19, 20:23I'm a bit disappointed that Mageia 7 RC only has KDE Plasma 5.15.4.
Kubuntu 19.04 has 5.16 now in backports.
Will there be a 7.1 with Plasma 5.16.x soon? Or will we have to wait again a few years?
I understand that for 7 the decision to choose 5.15.x was taken a long time ago.
5.16 has a lot of fixes.
I don't remember if Mageia ever did backports. Will there be one for 5.16? (Or a Mageia 7.1 ?)
With Mageia being a small organisation, how much work would it be for the devs and organizers to do backports?
KDE neon and Kubuntu can have the latest KDE versions. I wish/dream for Mageia it could also deliver that.
