Cauldron is our experimental lab, and so there is NO GUARANTEE FOR STABILITY.
You have to have some experience to handle unexpected situations.
And of course we hope, to see input from your site when testing in Cauldron.
To come into Cauldron-state i advise you to do a fresh Mageia1-installation.
Remove all repositories, and add the Cauldron-repositories, as they can be found through:

There's also a short article in our wiki about setting up a cauldron install: http://mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=cauldron
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

hi
i am running cauldron and i installed as update from Mageia 1 and it was a hell,
so i do not recommend for anybody on slow Internet line
(mirrors not working i used 6 different mirrors for my install, and 3 times to reinstall, not updated and over 1 gig of updates to download)
to do so, for new install of cauldron we need a weekly or monthly ISO snapshots for new installs to make it practical for users to try cauldron with minimum download.
this is my experience with first cauldron install
soon i will need to install on other computer so post me a link to 64bit cauldron ISO snapshot asap as
i do not like to set up my own 750gb mirror

My experiences with upgrading 2 different Mageia 1 installations (one KDE and one Gnome) were quite different. Nothing broken, reliable mirror (I preferred a "dedicated mirror" setup), everything worked as if it was a stable release (I know, this can change tomorrow with Cauldron!).

But for everyday use I would recommend cauldron only if you know your way around in Linux, if you follow the developer's mailing list and if you can fix damages by yourself.
