RyZen support ?

Postby pete910 » Mar 24th, '17, 01:04

Anyone any idea on when the 4.10 kernel is likely to make it to cauldron/mga6 ?

The current 4.9.16 don't like Ryzen CPU's/chipset(AMD)

Had to use the

Code: Select all
acpi=off

trick to get it to boot .

It's not long term support kernel release there will be no way to get it to Cauldron/Mga6.

Is this a good place to say that ryzen support would also be appreciated here? I am having sporadic seg faults and freezes, and one hibernate test failed. I understand kernel 4.10 solves the ryzen probs

That's simply not true for Cauldron.

The response was correct when Cauldron was leading to MGA6.
Cauldron/MGA7 is a new cycle.
