Kodi needs PVR add-ons

Kodi needs PVR add-ons, or they are well hidden. In 5.1, I can install Kodi and Tvheadend, and I can look up the Kodi add-on to connect the two. In Cauldron, the PVR add-ons don't seem to be installed, or in the Kodi repository.

Maybe the PVR addons needs to be updated to use https://github.com/kodi-pvr as mentioned on https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons but I don't use that part of kodi nor can I test that on cauldron ...

Thanks Doktor. I am a bit cautious about updating an rpm from git. There is a bug report for 5.1 with a maintainer, but another problem I had with the Cauldron version has gone away, so I didn't want to start an unnecessary bug. You guys are busy enough as it is.

I downloaded Kod1 17 (Krypton) and compiled it with all defaults as a first run. It starts configuring with GNU make, then calls in Cmake. It installed in /usr/local, runs well, and takes care of Bug 14939 as it stands (I don't know if it would still be a fix after installation.) The PVR addons were not installed, so a more detailed approach is needed.

Thanks Doktor for the quick upgrade to 19.4. I notice that some members are running Release 20, Nexus.

Uhmm, you do realize that you replied to a thread that is 5 years old ? Also the thanks should go to Stig-Ørjan Smelror who updated it to 19.4 recently.
