6 STA1 failure to install

So tested out sta1 of Mageia 6 on my HP Elitebook Folio 1020 G1. Installation fails to allow bootloader to install (tries to install to /dev/sda when computer if UEFI mode, no legacy support). Also, if I go to the bootloader selection during install, it changes it from /dev/sda to /dev/sdb (the usb I'm installing from) and doesn't allow me to change it back to sda. Also, probably related, on partitioning it doesn't allow me to format /dev/sda1 (EFI partition @ /boot/efi), although it DOES correctly mark it as being an EFI partition.

Should mention I have successfully installed and ran Debian Stretch, Fedora 23, and Fedora 24 on this, so I know it's not hardware issue.

Tested on a Dell Latitude E7440 with exactly the same results (also UEFI with no legacy support). This laptop currently runs Fedora 23 and have ran Debian and Mageia 5 in the past.

I also found the bootloader choice at install rather limitated, though not as bad on MBR install.
