Mageia 10 question

Postby daniewicz » Apr 10th, '26, 02:00

I am currently running a fully updated Mageia 10 Alpha.

As the updates continue will I effectively have the final release of Mageia 10? Will I need to change the repositories?

Yes, if you are using the Mageia 10 repository you're good to go. Just make sure you have "check for newer mageia releases" checked in the mgaapplet updater. Right click it and choose "Configure".

IIRC, as always with cauldron, at some point after release freeze you will have to change repositories to mga10 or you will stay on cauldron, once it reopens again, usually 2 weeks after final release.

How do I determine if I am on cauldron or Mageia 10 repositories?

You simply look at your repos whther they point to mga10 or cauldron
Code: Select all
urpmq --list-media active --list-url

or
Code: Select all
dnf -v repolist --enabled

although with dnf5 you'd have to look at /var/log/dnf.librepo.log or use something like
Code: Select all
dnf --dump-repo-config="*"
