Using 5 Alpha and have questions...

I installed the Live 32 bit iso and am running the latest kernel update (3.15.6-1.mga5) with an Athlon 64x2 3800+ with 2 GB RAM. It seems to run very well.

Question: In MCC should I be able to set functions like security to secure with this alpha software? The default setting is in use and the software ignores any attempt to set it to a more secure setting. Is this for testing purposes or a fault?

Which functions are you referring to exactly, e.g. from http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/4/en/content/ ... urity.html
Also, if you launch those tools from a terminal, are there any obvious error messages?

MSEC: System Security and Audit
Security Settings
Basic Security Tab

I want to select some other setting than the default (Standard) setting. The page does not respond to any changes. I use the Secure setting, usually, and did so with Mageia 4 before installing the Alpha 5 iso. I am wondering if it is meant to be Standard during tesing?

Like any other application, it should be working as usually. Then please report that as a bug, after searching if it hasn't been reported yet already: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_report_a_bug_properly
