[SOLVED] Does anyone here have dnsmasq running yet?

Postby ghmitch » Apr 21st, '13, 23:33

I am able to successfully "load" dnsmasq, but am unable to start it under systemd. I am not sure what the problem is. It is iin the systemd service folder but does not appear on the available services menu in Control Center.

This is resolved. I was unable to load dnsmasq with Control Center. But I was able to load dnsmasq with systemd frontend GUI, but was unable to start it. But when I went back to Control Center, I found it was loaded. From there it started uneveventfully from Control Center and just works. So ... problem solved. Thanks all! Getting used to systemd is a learning curve. - George

Well, that's only a small amount of documentation, but helpful for the migration from SysV init.
There's also http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Systemd#s ... umentation and the awesome series Systemd for administrators (and everyone else too :) )
directly from systemd author Lennart Poettering: http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/systemd-docs.html -> look at the bottom below "Blog stories"
