Enjoyed reading. And I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in my minimalist attitude.

I've decided to have a /data partition and will put mpd stuf there. This seems easier. I'm about to begin, but before that need more tea!

I'm back. New boot menu:

Cauldron2
Safe mode
Cauldron

I've made /data partition primary too. It's a folder under / in either OSes. For permission in either OSes I've entered in terminal:

su ... chown $USER /data
chmod u+rwx /data

Everything seems fine.
