Mailing list archive

Postby pmithrandir » Feb 22nd, '12, 14:02

Hello.

There is archives of mailing list somewhere on the mageia servers.

Is it possible to get the link, and maybe to put it in announcment of this section ? It could be helpful to know if a topic is already discussed somewhere.

Thanks
Pierre

I think this link :

could be useful to have here.

Normally subscription to mageia-dev is recommended for all cauldron users. You can also ask on IRC
in irc://irc.freenode.net/#mageia-dev if a problem is already known.

I know Doktor... but as we already said in a lot of topic... we are not all motivated to be spamed days and night by mageia-dev :)

A quickn link to "hot topics" could always be useful for users.

Discussions in the -dev mailing list are no more interesting for me. The whole dev-population at mageia always point to bugzilla as the place to go - so I assume they are doing this also (wouldn't make sense if not). Ergo it is only logical to go to Bugzilla if you are just looking for information and/or reporting (and helping with feedback).
A personal note: I've also experienced a continuous difference between the -dev's point of view and mine (more often than not) so it makes no sense to me to participate in discussions there.

I'm just learning to compile meaningful bugzilla searches :)

Mageia mailing lists are split between two systems:

https://www.mageia.org/mailman/

https://ml.mageia.org/wwsympa-wrapper.fcgi/lists

Relevant archives are accessible through those links.

You can cheat or improve learning by taking some from https://bugs.mageia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=saved-searches
and editing them afterwards, and save the resulting searches to a new name ;)
