[SOLVED] Has loss of all LibreOffice Icons been reported?

Postby wilcal » Dec 28th, '11, 22:29

After todays update, which included LibreOffice files, for me they're
all gone including the one on the Favorites Bar. I'm using Gnome 3.

Thanks. I'm gonna do a full rebuild of M2A2 tomorrow
after I update my repo. If it manifests itself again then
I'll open a bug.

Not that it matters but I thought I would add that it does the same thing in Gnome classic as well as the regular Gnome 3 for me

Just for the record: same in KDE, applications start as usual, only icons in the menue are missing (showing generic placeholders).
The little icons in the task bar (indicating an open window) look fine!
But then again the icons for the task bar (when you add a LO app to the task bar) do not show

So it seems that only one size is showing, the smallest.

I have done a complete reinstall of M2A2 and
confirmed this bug and filed:

https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4002

Initial install of M2A2 the icons are there.
Do an update and they are gone.

For clarification, In this thread you were speaking about libreoffice icons (icons inside libreoffice programs, from what i understand from your description)
and in the bugreport you're also talking about desktop icons (icons on the GNOME/KDE desktop for libreoffice). Would you mind to describe it again please, maybe more exact?

The loss of (all) desktop icons, including panel icons for KDE (after recent KDE updates, IIRC from 4.7.90 -> 4.7.95) has already
been reported and discussed in the Alpha 2 general discussion thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1609
and also here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1677

No. We are talking about the icons for the LO applications in the start menue (KDE) and favorites side bar (Gnome3), etc. Pls read my earlier description.
Icons inside the LO applications are ok.

I can confirm it happened to me after a fresh install and updating.

Oddly enough it happened to my bluetooth launcher as well (but I didnt notice if it was working before the update or not)

Todays updates appears to have solved this problem

I have changed:

status to resolved/fixed.

I am currently having this issue now. 3.2.2-desktop-1.mga2

Most of the icons are available. Even Firefox has a logo..

But if I actually type firefox nothing appears.

If I press enter, Firefox will launch without a problem. But nothing is being displayed in the filtered list.

I hope this helps clear up whats going wrong.
Thanks
