Next: switch in mc settings

After newest updates I opened mc (my favorite file manager) and was greeted by a red message:

Your old settings were migrated from /home/wobo/.mc
to Freedesktop recommended dirs.

Result of this change was a slowdown of every action inside mc, no matter which one, even the cursor keys need at least a couple of seconds to show a reaction. This made mc next to unsuable.
Everything else shows normal response time (opening any application, editing in text editors, using konsole with CLI commands, etc.). So I assume this problem results from the action mentioned in the red message box (see above).

That's weird, last mc update in was 4 weeks ago, december 16 to 4.8.1 ... ?
Looking at it, something went wrong, last packager commented out all remaining patches, he's currently absent from IRC, but i'll try to poke him.
I've just not noticed yet because normally i only use mcedit.

EDIT: Just tried in my fresh cauldron VM, mc works normally. Did you have existing settings for mc prior to that upgrade?

After updates of this afternoon the ghosts have gone away, so it seems. I just checked and the system behaves almost normal.

Unfortunately I am just through with updating all my Mageia systems, so I don't have old settings.
