Chromium and PeaZip

Postby xpris » Sep 30th, '12, 14:43

Hi.

I want to install Chromium web brower and PeaZip (Open source, cross-platform file compression utility).
In repo Mageia 2 and Cauldron its no PeaZip and i must install this for source or install for pack prepare for autors this app - from here
Code: Select all
http://peazip.sourceforge.net/peazip-linux.html
This is PeaZip 4.7.2 for Linux version GTK2 - file deb, tgz, rpm) and QT version (deb, tgz and rpm).
Ok, i want to install this - in site autors I read "rpm for Mandriva, Fedora, OpenSuse"
When i try install this pack (try QT and GTK2) and i see error
root @ localhost x] # urpmi / home/x/Pulpit/peazip-4.7.2.LINUX.Qt-1.i386.rpm
The selected package can not be installed:
PeaZip-4.7.2.LINUX.Qt-1.i386 (due to unsatisfactory libgmp.so.3 package)

When i install this without dependest (--nodeps) I try to use and I see text
[x@localhost ~]$ peazip
peazip: error while loading shared libraries: libQtWebKit.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

How I can install this? Maybe can add this file to repo Mageia?

Next apps is Chromium web brower (open source like Google Chrome).
In repo its older version, new version its no added. I want to install newer version. I can install Google Chrome 22, but I prefere open source Chromium. I found
Code: Select all
http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-continuous/index.html

There is new version Chromium for all systems (Windows, Mac and Linux x86, LInux Touch and Linux x64) but i don't know how i can install this? In windows its simple (run mini-installer.exe and works fine) in Linux its complicated.
In main directrory I try ./configure, make, make install, qmake cmake and any don't works?

How install this? Any idea?

For Chrome/Chromium please use a different thrad, and please look at the corresponding MAQeia viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2053
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
