Hello,
Welcome on board
You can register yourself here:

Then subscribe to the dev mailing list (and others if you want) here:
https://ml.mageia.org/l/info/dev
and introduce yourself to the team.

The answers are no and no. Only thing you get is SVN commit access, and as packager later also submit rights (once you've proven yourself) so you can push packages to the buildsystem.
Once you're a a packager or once you have SVN commit access you'll also have an @mageia.org mail alias.

ok thanks for all the info guys.

question about @mageia.org mail alias is, how much time to get SVN commit access and this email alias? how much effort needed? I don't have so much free time, but could allocate some time as necessary to get that account created.

asking this cause I need to update my resume soon and would love to have a @mageia.org email to put on it.
I believe hosting the resume on a mageia.org personal space could make a good impression for employers too, but as I understand it it is not possible now? anyway my plan is to start the mass-mailing in september/october, there is still a bit of time to figure things out.

BTW suggestions for a good title to put on resume that is known to make a good impression on employers are very welcome. I'm currently headed to "Senior Mageia Developer" but I think I can find better.

Seriously... as you are having trouble trying suggestions and answering questions on i.e your thread about problem with Plasma, a title like senior mageia developer seem far away in future... ;)
First learn how gnu/linux systems work, and learn to handle them...

"senior" in job title usually means 3 years of proven job experience in that position after being "junior ..." for at least two years and that would be totally misleading here.
Better be honest with your future employers.

I am a gnu/linux expert and know how to handle them. been using that for so many years now. it is not exaggerating to say I am a senior gnu/linux dev. I probably know much more than you do about gnu/linux.

been using linux for much more than that. seems perfectly honest to say "senior".

btw plasma is not a unix thing. I am a unix expert not a plasma expert. I know most commands such as cd, ls, mkdir, ipconfig, and all config.sys directives by heart.

ipconfig and config.sys surely is something a unix expert needs to know. This is becoming ridiculous.

of course I know config.sys is not real unix

I wanted to see if anybody notice

just wanted to say I know how to use linux command line only

I even already used linux NO GRAPHICAL INTERFACE AT ALL

and very few people do that, it's hardcore

when using linux in console only, mouse is useless

you have to type commands to do EVERYTHING EVERYTHING

if you are not a real linux expert it's a nightmare you can't do anything it's a very very complex system

myself I can do that no problem

only senior unix dev can do that

now after posting in this thread I received this private message from isadora:
Can you please stop your offensive way of posting.
If not, i surely can help you.

nothing in what I posted in this thread was offensive

the tentative of intimidation from isadora ("If not, i surely can help you") is however very offensive IMHO

should I just shut up and stop posting in this forum because isadora doesn't like me and threaten to ban me if I continue posting?

Do you really think you improve your chances to join the Mageia team by acting like you do currently?

yes

if I don't act like this my account is closed by isadora and I can't join the team

68 messages in just a few days is quite an achievement

Yes 68 posts that provide no information or worse provide misinformation and do nothing but waste bandwidth.
