Hi,

Is there any interest by OpenLMI ( http://www.openlmi.org/QuickStart ) packages ? They are available on Fedora and I would like to know what the level of difficulty is to have them on Mageia.

Thanks

Remi

The difficulty would be to find/have a maintainer for those packages. We currently have ~3.700 unmaintained source packages,
so it's pretty difficult to add new packages when there are thousand others which do not receive new versions, bugfixes or security updates and which may not even run at all.

FWIW, most fedora packages can easily be rebuild on Mageia, if you want to rebuild them for yourself.
I can provide some pointers to documentation for that if you want to try.

Thanks for the answer. I must see first whether OpenLMI in itself, can be useful for Mageia systems management, then I will come back to you.
