Documentation Team?

Postby mailedfist » Mar 2nd, '25, 21:15

Hi. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Documentation_team appears to have content which is no longer current.

Are there new contact details somewhere else now?

If not, how can one register to be able to make changes to a locked Wiki page please?
Mandrake->Mandriva->Mageia starting in 2003. I really dislike another well-known distro starting with U.

Hi there, what content do you refer to in particular ? Both the mailing list and the IRC channel still exist, and are the primary contact details.

Also the warning hint is pretty clear about your second question, no ?

To join the Documentation team, you only have to add your name to the list below, sign up to the mailing list and say 'Hi!'.
We would also be happy if you could attend the team meetings (see third item in the list above).

Warning!
Everyone can read the Wiki, but if you want to edit a wiki page please subscribe to the Documentation team mailing list and simply send a message including your Mageia user-name to request editing rights.
This is a temporary measure due to spam.

The following content is no longer current I think:

Team leader's e-mail doesn't exist
Team meetings don't appear in the meeting calendar
No meeting logs since 2019

I was put off joining the mailing list because of the above.

Maybe the team lead wants to keep his email private? In any case you could simply ask on the mailing list or via IRC.
The calendars are not current in general since quite some time as it's usually more productive to schedule meetings after agreeing on a timeslot instead of having fixed ones.
For most teams there aren't that much recent meeting logs.
