I use lxqt desktop now and i missed the various weather status widgets that i had before (with KDE), so i wrote a small one
https://github.com/dglent/meteo-qt

it fits well with lxqt ;)
Image

At this moment it is quite usable, without any noticed dysfunction; however i will add some more features(as storing multiple cities) and some various fixes.

It needs :
python3-lxml
python3-qt4

You can download it and launch it with:
Code: Select all
git clone https://github.com/dglent/meteo-qt.git
cd meteo-qt/
python3 meteo-qt.py

Please feel free to add it to task-lxqt as Recommends :)

edit doktor5000: just checked, you require QT4 bindings - lxqt 0.8 is QT5-only, maybe you can port that to QT5 ?
But it's working fine, thanks for sharing - maybe you want to submit a pull request upstream or at least announce it on the lxde mailing list ;)

You have right it is better now to work with qt5, i added in the todo.
for a couple of weeks i will not be able to work on it (no access to my pc), and we arrive at the release freeze ( 28/10 according the plan: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_5_Development)
If you want you can add it in task-lxqt, actually i don't think that, today ,we can not have a qt5 only installation.
