And may I take the opportunity to point out that:
By signing the Principles, you will show that you're part of a movement that knows mass surveillance is a violation of international human rights law.
Are you in doubt?

This is the universal human right to privacy formulated by the UN in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Article 12.

No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

This is important stuff and maybe the biggest challenge in our century - and Human rights are way above politics it matters to all and affects all.

Encrypt. Obfuscate. Lie to the machine at EVERY point.

The technical capability exists for this mass surveillance. Thus, regardless of laws, there will be mass surveillance. Assume you are in hostile territory whenever you are on the internet or engaged in any activity that might employ computers.
