BlogDrake is proud to announce the update of its tool GetRepoDrake,
GetRepoDrake is a tool to list and easily set up community maintained repositories,
similar to easyurpmi.

This time the tool supports Mandriva and Mageia distributions, and
also the list of repositories has been updated.

As always, GetRepoDrake has 2 versions, one embedded in blogdrake
and one external

Feel free to make suggestions, comments or ask to add a repository not
listed in any of the 2 supported distributions :)

If you offer those 3rd party repositories, why not offer all? viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1985

Well, at least i don't know, as i concentrated more on working directly on Mageia, and didn't really need additional repositories so far.

Hello all,

In Brazilian Forum http://forum.mageiabr.org/viewtopic.php ... =blogdrake there is a thread with a subject like that and sorry to say this but use the repository where the keepers have a corporate position, not open to debate suicide think the minimum for an end user.

I say this because they happen to have a problem with some application installed for this repository they barely meet the topic and then the lock, the User has no opinion there, boring and dictator.

Sorry for the voracious sincerity, but that is what I think of this repository.

Sincerely,
Creto

They say that about which repository exactly and which keepers?

Also i don't understand all that fuzz about the package manager there, in that thread - what's so bad about rpmdrake?
As an example, i'd never exchange rpmdrake for synaptic.

That's what I agree not change the package managers that use patterns of the distro

Sorry but i don't understand this, our rules always have been clear, don't package nothing that already is in official repositories at less is new version and the official repositories don't provide it, don't package nothing related to the core of the distro (like kernel), don't package nothing that may conflict with the system.

As i can see the link talk about a petition made to blogdrake's packagers, the application is a package manager with their own repositories, even i think that is designed to an specific linux dsitro, and for last have a lot of package with potential of have conflicts with the official packages.

Off course we are not perfects and can made mistakes when rejected some package, but if you or other really believe that some must be packaged just open other tread in packager's forum or ask for it in the mageia's bugzilla ;)

Problems with what repository? The repository of the aplication linked? or The blogdrake's repository?

If is the last you always can report the problem in the packager's forum (even in english) and we try to fix as quick as can
