How to set more sections in main page of my MediaWiki site?

I’m new to this MediaWiki and having trouble to configure my site looks. Now I want to set three to five sections in main page that keeps updating with articles present in different categories like this http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki. Hope to get some working ideas from the experts here.

You mean "instead of" or "for"?

In case of "instead of" nope, at least not from me.
