I started with Mandrake 8.1, tried for months to get Mandriva 2011 to work smoothly but never could.

Looks like Mageia is the right path for my favorite distro.

After the crash of Mandriva I tried other distros like ubuntu, kubuntu... ending with opensuse 11.4 - this one was the most workable but how far from the clean and fast linux of mandriva's good old time. It's good news to see a great rebirth! This Mageia 1.0 works like a charm for me! Good work - thank to you al!

Thank you to all also! It's similar like me. I started linux with Mandriva 2010. But new one isn't for me and I was dissapointed. Mageia works fine. Great work! Lots of work done. I hope the community of Mageia is right way and distro will be still better.

Just got a new Acer 7560 Laptop. Mageia 1 works great on it. Finally I can have a system with no MS on it!

I love this distro also. Thank you all!
