Hello

I see 6341 members in the forum. If each member contributes 0.5€ (50cents) every month, the distro will get 3000+ € pro month.

Any thoughts on this?

Also, there is no IBAN/BIC infos provided..

Hello! Have any way for donation using paypal?

I live from Brazil, and a international bank transfer is very expensive!

https://www.mageia.org/en/donate/

On the donate page, at top left side, there is paypal method.

Please note the infos mentioned on the page :
Paypal withdraws a small commission for each donation (around 2%) so we get a little bit less than you send;
conversion rates are charged to Mageia, so please use € as currency;

Even if paypal gets small amount, majority is transferred to our fav distro. :D

Sorry for the late reply, took a while to figure this out. In the past there have been some non authorized debits to the association bank account,
and one of the recommendations of the bank was to not publish the IBAN at all. I've contacted our treasurer to hopefully get the donation page updated, but that might take some time.

Please share infos on IBan/Bic once you have it.
Bank transfers are simpler and straight fwd compared to other middlemen like paypal etc.
While I dont plan to donate huge amount, donating very small amount consistently (especially if many of users decide to do the same) will achieve same results.

I didn't get any reply yet, and I don't think that will be provided again. But feel free to ask yourself: treasurer@mageia.org

Ok Thx. Monthly donations of 50 cents via paypal have been started.
If many start donating small amounts regularly, it will make a difference to the distro, without much difference to individual donor.

Appreciated.

Although I'd say it's more useful if you contribute actively instead of donating money, in my humble opinion.
If there are a lot of regular donations, but nobody contributes anymore then that will probably slowly starve the association mid- to longterm.
