trelby or celtx

Postby jdprueitt » May 15th, '15, 21:40

Can someone pakage either Trelby or Celtx ? I need a screenplay writer. Celtx seems to have removed all copies form repositors everywhere. I tried to build Trelby but it puked errors.

Thanks, J.P.

Celtx has been dropped ~ 2 years ago as it did not build anymore against current versions of libraries.
You can try to download trelby yourself (generic tar.gz) and extract & run it, but it also needs old versions of libraries [wxPython].
So there's no point in packaging either, sorry.

EDIT: If you're on an older version of Mageia, you could try this package for trelby, should at least be installable: http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... noarch.rpm

What about Writer's Cafe or Scrivener ?

The author of trelby has recently fixed version 2.2 to run with wxpython 3.0. This version is on github. Over on Google groups one guy has sucessfully got it complied and running on Ubuntu. Can you packagers try again? J.P.

Well, we never had trelby in the repositories. And as mentioned above, as you can simply extract and run it, there's not much point in packaging that ...
