Wading into dependency hell.
I got thsoe two 0ad source files, as pointed to above.
They needed build dependencies.
I found and installed gloox-1.0.9
Now needing
mozjs24-devel
RPM search.
Mageia, mandrivn, fedora, redhat, Opensuse?????????????I found this:
lib64mozjs24-devel-24.2.0-5.mga
5.x86_64.rpm
It will not instal.
I don't like going to the other distro's sources to hunt down dependencies.
How do I enable that
Cauldron?Nevermind [I hope] I am now using cauldron.
I will probably break this system...... But.
Everything in my computing is a test..... so......
I might as well dive into this. See what I learn.
A HAPPY NOTE:
X-Plane flight simulator is working like a champion in the Mageia OS. It is one of the softwares I MUST have working, 0ad is not one of those, but I really like it*........
And the 0ad
latest game installs to and runs on Ubuntu just fine too, so I can easily access it and use it, after a reboot.
EDITUh, I think I have just made this version Mageia4 into Magiea5 testing, is that right? AFter the terminal finished the agonizing update [it is printing some scarey stuff in there!] going on in the terminal, I am already imagingin what is gonna happen after a reboot.
Well:
Everything in my computing is a test..... so......
UPDATENow see this:
The following 2 packages are going to be installed:
- 0ad-0.0.17-0.alpha.3.mga5.x86_64
- 0ad-data-0.0.17-0.alpha.2.mga5.noarch
1.3GB of additional disk space will be used.
549MB of packages will be retrieved.
Is it ok to continue?I am now swimming around in a cauldron.....
In for a penny, in for a pound.
Here goes..........
