Need some mentoring for packaging a Java application

Postby htgoebel » May 24th, '13, 15:50

Hi,

I've packages freeplane.sf.net, a Java application. The package works fine on my system, but I would appreciate some mentoring to get the finishing touch.

You can find the .spec-file and all required sources at https://github.com/htgoebel/freeplane-mageia
My concrete questions are:
  • Is the handling of desktop- and mime-files and icons correct?
  • For Debian there is a "sharemimeinfo" available. How to handle this file in %post?
  • Do I need to specify additional build- or install-requirements, e.g. jarbundler. jpackage-utils or hicolor-icon-theme?

Beside this, any tip is welcome :-)

Regards
hartmut

I think you should write to dev@ml.mageia.org. Your options to find mentor are better there :)
