Why does jython require mysql-connector-java

Postby htgoebel » Mar 15th, '13, 10:26

Hi,

I try to clean up my system and stepped over jython requiring mysql-connector-java. Why?

I really wonder why a programming language should rely on a database interface. Esp. since Python (CPython) does *not* rely on any database at all.

Regards

Since nobody answered, I assume, mysql-connector-java is not needed by jython. So I'll file a bug report.

If nobody answered, maybe nobody knows or uses it, or nobody had the time to reply ...
