javaws

Postby joep » Sep 4th, '12, 14:36

Hi there,
How to get javaws in the path:/usr/lib/jvm/jav<version>-openjdk/bin/ ?
My javaws is situated in /usr/bin/javaws.
Something is missing in the startup of java. Iced Tea java 6 Web Plugin is made with java-1.6.0-openjdk. Installing a later version of java request the uninstall of the existing java, which also uninstalls iced tea. So I am blocked and cannot use an important application: Trans World Station, a internet trader..
PLease advise and TIA,
Joep van Ham

Joep,

Normaly this is done by 'alternatives'.
Check, as root, if javaws has more than one option:
Code: Select all
alternatives --list javaws

If so, you can switch by:
Code: Select all
alternatives --config javaws
