Hello,

I made a try to package the VDPAU backend driver for VAAPI.
The package brings missing drivers for enabling hardware acceleration of video decoding in ffmpeg and vlc
I have tested the package on Mageia 1 beta (i586) with vlc watching some high definition videos over DVB-T on a machine with an Atom 230 processor and an nvidia ION chipset (MCP79).

The source RPM: http://dl.free.fr/m8hbAOUy4

The SPEC file: http://dl.free.fr/mzFmd6zNI

The source tar ball I used: http://www.splitted-desktop.com/~gbeauc ... 7.3.tar.gz

The binary package for i586: http://dl.free.fr/mlgPiGNHd

Maybe you should post a bug report for package reclamation, and join your spec files.
It will improve the chance to have the package directly into repositories :)
Thanks in advance :)

You are probably right. I've just submitted a request: http://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1257 (bug 1257)
