Since Mandriva stopped supporting mppe, obviously patched out, ( http://forum.mandriva.com/en/viewtopic. ... 2&start=25 ). I tried Mageia and found that mppe has been patched out in their source aswell.
Would it be possible make a new package which brings back mppe functionality?

Pinging this thread in the hope to get working mppe in Mageia. Meanwhile I'm using a third party patch someone made and posted in the mandriva forum thread above. It works well with Mageia too. But I would prefer mppe supported directly by Mageia so that I can trust the functionality to survive when I upgrade to Mageia 2
