Any plans to offer the COSMIC DE?

Postby coaxguy99 » Nov 8th, '24, 01:09

I'm asking because there seems to be a lot of buzz about it and the two major RPM distros already have it, though I understand it is still experimental. If not, that's fine. Just curious :)

I don't really have a say in it, but I'm going to say "No". Our packagers are spread pretty thin as it is.

So far, I'm not a bit impressed with Cosmic.

Sounds good. I haven't tried it. I was never impressed with Pop_OS! so I'm not really surprised. As thin as the Mageia packagers are, I have to commend you because I rank this distro right up there with my favorites which are Mint and Fedora... maybe even a tinge higher. It's way better than OpenSUSE which breaks frequently. Mageia deserves to be ranked higher than several in DW's top 10. Quite an accomplishment for an independent distro as I know that is far more difficult than piggybacking onto Ubuntu or Debian or Arch.
