---
There are two types of Budgie Desktop rpm-packages on GitHub (in the archives rpmbuild*.tar.gz): with Nemo file manager (rpmbuild+nemo.tar.gz) and standard (rpmbuild-standard.tar.gz).

Note: MgaRemix technology is not supported by Mageia developers and is a completely free development. The name was agreed with the administration in accordance with the rules: Logo and trademark policy. The additional software is also completely free (GPL).

That's all for now, have a nice job.

Sounds interesting, but why not just an .iso?

Hi, Germ. Distribution in ISO is, of course, an established and reliable thing. However, to write ISO, you need either a DVD-disk + disc drive, or you need to write it to a USB flash drive. But after writing the ISO to the flash drive, all its space will go under the ISO and the flash drive will have to be reformatted again, clean the bootloader, etc. I believe that the distribution should be fully mobile and portable from Linux to Windows and vice versa without data loss on the flash drive itself and without violating the default file system (FAT32).

After all, in addition to operating systems, there are also all kinds of devices: TV, all kinds of set-top boxes, other devices that understand only the native format of flash drives.

p.s. I'm sorry for my bad English, I use an online translator.

upd: 10/08/2022 (Kernel-6.0.0-2)
--
MgaRemix-9-Budgie-10.6.4-1-EN.7z

rpmbuild+nemo-1.tar.gz
rpmbuild-standard-1.tar.gz

Notes:
  • gnome-screensaver package was removed from the new GNOME, had to rebuild BudgieDesktop rpm-packages
  • Among other things, draklive-install has been updated. Now, at the end of the installation, you need to tick "Install in /EFI/BOOT (removable device or workaround for some BIOSs)"

Forgot to mention...
If the checkbox "Install in /EFI/BOOT (removable device or workaround for BIOSs)" not installed, then an error occurs:
Code: Select all
The "draklive-install" program has crashed with the following error:

  grub2-install failed: Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
  EFI variables are not supported on this system.
  EFI variables are not supported on this system.
  grub2-install: error: efibootmgr failed to register the boot entry: No such file or directory.
     ...propagated at /usr/lib/libDrakX/any.pm line 278.
  Perl's trace:
  drakbug::bug_handler() called from /usr/lib/libDrakX/any.pm:278
  any::installBootloader() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:409
  main::setup_bootloader() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:109
  main::install_live() called from /usr/sbin/draklive-install:72

In other words - the mode "Probe Foreign OS" - does not work. Probably something else has not been completed.
